Musigny spans 10.86 hectares in Chambolle-Musigny, planted mostly with Pinot Noir at a typical density of 10,000 vines per hectare.
Top producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, and since 2022, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
Unusually for a Côte de Nuits Grand Cru, white wine from Chardonnay is legally permitted, though only Vogüé has made it in modern times.
